Welcome to Sara Kulturhus

In the heart of Skellefteå, you will find Västerbotten's new beacon, Sara Kulturhus, one of the world's tallest wooden buildings. It is a climate-positive building where the forests providing the raw materials are visible from Vana Spa on the 20th floor, and the heating and cooling are regulated by the power of Skellefteå River. Together with The Wood Hotel by Elite, it forms Skellefteå's new hub for concerts, performances, meetings, exhibitions, events, and congresses.

The cultural house is named after the author Sara Lidman, embodying the spirit of creativity, bravery, and the desire for innovation that characterizes Northern Sweden's new landmark.

Welcome to Skellefteå's new living room, today, tomorrow, or over the next 100 years.
